Food sensitivities and intolerance are potentially serious problems that can result in irritated skin, coat and ear conditions or even gastrointestinal upset. Dogs that have adverse food reactions due to a food allergy (typically to a protein in the food) or intolerance benefit from a food designed for food sensitivities. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Prescription Diet z/d clinical nutrition especially formulated to support your dog's food sensitivities. Great for dogs with allergies or skin flare ups.
by Stefano -
Was advised to feed our mini schnauzer Hills Z/D as he has frequent skin flare ups. These have been a lot less frequent since switching to this food and our dog seems to love it. Great that there is now a low fat option for dogs prone to pancreatitis. Good when mixed with the Z/D wet food.
Tried & trusted

I've been using variants of Hills for 30+ years. For 13 years my TT had the standard version of this to manage IBD, he always ate it & very rarely had flare ups. Just recently I had to go from Hills senior large breed to Z/D low fat for my Labrador who has IBD and pancreatitis. As the only real treatment for this is diet, there is no quick fix. This was one food suggested by the vet but due to my long history with Hills, it would always have been my first choice. As expected 3 weeks in she is much improved, all symptoms controlled. She loves it and is back to her old self. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any Hills food, all my pups have been fed it, all have lived to very good ages in good health, even if they've had a diagnosed condition.
Bag is a bit cumbersome
by Ethan Carter -
The 10kg bag is heavy to handle for filling the food container, but the food itself is top tier for his allergies.
Perfect kibble texture
by Chloe Adams -
He crunches the kibble happily and it seems to help keep his teeth clean too. The large bag is the best option for cost savings.

Worth the price

It's a specialist diet and the price reflects that, but the results for his health are worth every penny. I highly recommend it for severe allergies.
