Cavapoo with IBD

My Cavapoo was diagnosed with IBD at just over a year old after having lots of issues as a puppy and this was one of the options recommended by the vets. It's not what I imagined I'd be feeding him, but he gets on with this food really well, so that's the main thing. PetShop.co.uk also deliver a great service, always on time, competitive price with a super helpful customer service team, so it's a win win! I wouldn't order from anywhere else.
Better than most other hydrolysed protein dog foods, fair price

Bought this for my dog who has IBD and tolerates almost no protein sources. Ingredients and composition of this food are pretty terrible, but still better than hydrolysed protein dog food from competitor brands. My dog likes to eat it and has firm output, though quite large amounts. The price in this shop is lower than what most other online retailers charge, which is a big plus for food in this price bracket.

The ingredients and composition of this dog food aren't great, but due to the hydrolysed protein, this kind of hypoallergenic food is the only alternative for dogs with allergies. This is better than most competitors' hydrolysed pet food, and my dog tolerates it very well. Eats it without fussing, and has good output, though quite large amounts. The price for the food in this shop is lower than what most other online retailers charge, which is a great plus for food of this price bracket.

Was advised to feed our mini schnauzer Hills Z/D as he has frequent skin flare ups. These have been a lot less frequent since switching to this food and our dog seems to love it. Good when mixed with the Z/D kibble.

My dog has food allergies and therefore needs to have a hydrolysed protein diet. He has the Hills z/d dry food and wet food which he seems to enjoy. When she was six year old, our Rottie suddenly started bringing back up water. Following diagnosis of food allergies at the Royal Dick near Edinburgh she was prescribed Z/D. She is now 10 years old and in great health. Initially she was only fed Z/D dry but we felt that a bit of a variation would be better hence we supplement with Z/D tins. After 4 years exclusively, she still has an appetite for Z/D so it is literally a life saver for her.

Our lab has been recommended this diet whilst his allergy is under investigation. The food seems very superior to his old food and he loves it, however the downside is that it is extremely expensive. My monthly order is £170.00 and on top of his vets fees and ongoing hematoma issue, it's starting to become very expensive

After battling with colitis for over a year we were advised to try this food as it became clear that our dog could not tolerate protein. With this food hydrolysing the protein it disguises it meaning that our girl can eat this food without unsetting her gut. Within 24hrs of starting this food her poohs became solid and she has had no further bouts of colitis. Highly recommended. I tried to give the product 5 stars across the board but the site would not let me.

A good product, however can be inconsistent as sometimes it can be a little dry, and it is a little expensive (that's generally, PetShop do offer a competitive price). Delivery and Service is five stars, however the webpage won 't allow me to tick these options.

My dog was very ill last year and diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. We thought we would loose him as he wouldnt eat and was very thin . It has taken 20 months and lots of medication to get back his health . He can only eat two foods. This is one of them . He now eats it happily also my other dog does .

I'm Monty, a 10 year old Border Terrier with liver problems dating back to my youth. Having tried a number of different dog foods without much success I was prescribed Hills z/d by my vet, since when I have never looked back. It suits my very sensitive digestion and, other than my vet, no one would know that I am not in the rudest of health. I cannot recommend Hills z/d enough (and I'm not being paid to write this!).
