The high energy density fulfils increased energy requirements while reducing the amount of food given per meal, decreasing the digestive workload. High energy density also helps promote weight regain during convalescence.

Dogs suffering from digestive disorders often show a decreased appetite and weight loss. High palatability encourages spontaneous consumption, facilitating recovery.

Eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids, omega-3 long chain fatty acids, contribute to the health of the digestive system.
