PURINA VETERINARY DIETS NF is a complete veterinary diet for dogs with chronic kidney disease. PVD NF contains restricted amounts of phosphorus as this mineral can build up in kidney patients and has been shown to contribute to progression of the disease. It also contains limited amounts of high quality protein to help reduce the build-up of toxins which make patients feel unwell, while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids also help maximise the natural anti-inflammatory processes and reduce blood pressure inside the kidney.
Note that PVD NF is not suitable for dogs that require a high protein/phosphorus diet diet such as pregnant bitches or growing puppies.
- Dietary phosphate restriction to support kidney function, helping to slow down progression of chronic kidney disease
- Restricted but high quality protein to help reduce the build-up of toxins in the body and therefore improve quality of life
- Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce blood pressure in the kidneys and maximises the natural anti-inflammatory process.
