The Burns Toy & Small Breed Chicken & Rice is an ideal food option for smaller dogs. The diet has a higher protein level, which is beneficial as smaller dogs have a faster metabolic rate. These diets are highly digestible, so your pet will get all the necessary nutrients without having to eat a large portion of food. Additionally, the small kibble size is perfect for smaller mouths, ensuring that your furry friend can comfortably chew and enjoy their food. Made to John Burns’ original recipe, the Original Dog range contains everything an adult dog needs for lifelong health and vitality. It is low in fat and when used as a general maintenance diet, it can help to maintain healthy skin, coat and digestion. As with all the Burns diets, it has a simple recipe and avoids artificial colourings, flavourings and preservatives.

Keeps disappearing.

I feed my dog one portion of wet food per day and top up with kibble on demand. His weight has been steady for years at an ideal weight. He has never seemed to enjoy the kibble so I thought I would try Burns for a change as surely its only fair you enjoy your food. I put some of the Burns in his bowl and he walked up, sniffed it then walked away so I thought this was going to be another just tolerated kibble. The bowl was magically emptied behind my back within the hour. This process has been repeated several times now. I think I'm now going to have to watch how much he's eating to avoid over-feeding!

Burns food.

Delivery was late obviously due to Coronavirus. My dog has been having Burns food for a long time. Although he is not particularly a small breed, he’s a cockapoo, he prefers the smaller kibbles.

Recommend for small dogs

My 6kg 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel loves this food. He struggled with larger kibble sizes but dances around when he knows this is coming. He has always been fed Burns and is in good health with a shiny coat. We order the 6kg bags from petshop.com as ordering and delivery is easy, and it arrives quickly.

Great small-dog food

My dog weighs about 15kg, so not technically small, but she has a small point snout so she struggles with normal kibble. This is brilliant as it's small, crunchy but not too hard, and she loves it! Best one out there. And the price at petshop can't be beat!

Perfect for a small mouth

I have a miniature Yorkie who loves this food, its small enough for him to pick up but still chew to keep his teeth clean. In the past he has turned his nose up at food because it is too chunky even when advertised for small breeds. I would highly recommend this food.
