Quality food at a reasonable price

We have given all our dogs Alpha working maintenance dog food for over 35 years. We wouldn't give our dogs anything else. They have all been fit and healthy this in our opinion is down to their diet.

Really not in a position to comment on quality, but my Golden Retrievers have no apparent ill affects and have all the energy you would expect for their ages, and they seem to enjoy the taste of Alpha Working Maintenance, although I do add 25 gms of tinned meat for extra flavour even though it’s not necessary. I’ve therefore awarded only average stars. But price, delivery and service were undoubtedly first rate and always have been. For these I’ve given each only four stars, only because, oddly, the review would not allow me to award five.

New formula is much poorer quality, 21%beef to 10%

The new improved formula that is being trumpeted by Alpha actually means the beef content has been more halved. That's an enormous difference, it's gone from 21% beef meat to just 10%. That is a shocking drop in quality To rate the delivery & service at 5* would've put the overall review at 4* which this food most definitely does not deserve, but to clarify, I have no problem with vetshop delivery & service
