ROYAL CANIN® Maxi Starter Mother & Babydog is suitable for your dog throughout the gestation period, as well as the lactation period. It’s also suitable for large breed puppies that will have an adult weight between 26kg-44kg. This food contains all the nutrients required to support and maintain the good health of your dog and its litter. ‘Start Complex’ is the fruit of ongoing science from ROYAL CANIN®: it is an exclusive combination of nutritional elements which are present in the mother’s milk, these elements are reinforced with specific nutrients which actively contribute to supporting the digestive health of the puppies. It also supports the puppies’ natural defences while they are young and their immune systems are just starting to develop. As the puppies transition from their mother’s milk onto solid food, ROYAL CANIN® Maxi Starter Mother & Babydog provides them with the perfect intermediary formulation of nutrients to facilitate this period of growth and change. When mixed with water, the kibble in ROYAL CANIN® Maxi Starter Mother & Babydog is easy to rehydrate to a porridge-like consistency which is very palatable for your dog, as well as for her puppies.

Didn't suit my pup

Unfortunately this food made my puppy go a little bit hyper, so we had to move him onto something where this wasn't so much of an issue. This food seemed to suit him apart from this issue.
