Dogs loved it

by pmoff -

I always like to change my dogs food every now and again to keep the diet varied. It has to be healthy and have natural ingredients. They absolutely loved this food and I will be changing to this for the foreseeable future. The fact that it has lots of nutrients and natural ingredients really helps with this decision as I always want the best for my dogs health and happiness. My dogs are also getting a little older now so this is even more important for me to keep them at their healthy happy best.

My dogs love these biscuits. Their coats are noticeably shinier, and they have more vitality! Fabulous for the older doggos ☺ 🐶 🐶

DIVA APPROVED

by Joe333 -

My dog is quite elderly and very fussy so she has IAMS Senior which she is ok with but first time trying this Purina she actually came into the kitchen when I opened the bag and begged for it, she is very enthusiastic eating it and actually asks for a bit more as well, so considering the vey said to try and keep her weight up but with good foods this could not have come at a better time, she loves it and wags her tail the whole time she is eating Just to update, she is still enjoying the food, I do think the packaging could do with an update though, what dog is your type - DIVA, very fussy used to being utterly spoiled and has given this her seal of approval

Dog and owner approved!

I’ve been giving my little 15 year old dog Purina Beta for the last few weeks and I can already notice a difference in her energy levels. I’ve tried Sandie on the dry chicken flavoured food and she’s been gobbling it up. I love that chicken is the main ingredient in the food and know she’ll be getting the best nutrition as a result. As Sandie has arthiritis and other symptoms of old age, giving her food that is going to help combat some of these issues is really important and Purina Beta seems to do just that with omega 3 fatty acids to keep her joints healthy. Definitely recommend!

Fussy yet love it

by Sharon -

My dogs are all 7 years + I have taken great pleasure in watching them enjoy the Purina Senior knowing that they are getting the nutrition they need. The food bowl empties quite quickly which was a bit of a surprise at first as my dogs can be really fussy. Happy pet = a happy owner!

Great for older dogs

by Reviewedbyhanna -

The dried dog food appears to have gone down very well with our dogs. A bowl of food is left down for them to help themselves throughout the day, and at the end of the day, all the food was gone. Whereas before, we’d be lucky if they ate half of it! We also noticed a difference in them. They are spending less time in their beds and have become a lot more lively. This is definitely a change that worked out for the best and one that we are going to continue with.

Gone in seconds!

by Niknok -

My usually fussy 11 year old King Charles spaniel absolutely loved this food. The kibble was just the right size for him to eat and he would be waiting by his bowl at food time for it. The bowl was eaten quickly and it definitely satisfied his hunger he was no longer begging for more food minutes later. We will definitely be investing in some more of this food for him

Good stuff

by Blakey123 -

My 8 year old Westie can be fussy and is used to wet food, so I did wonder how the Purina Beta chicken would go down. I needn't have worried, she scoffed it quickly, as if it was a delicious treat. She has finished every meal since so it seems to be a win! Happy to think it's provided her with extra goodness to support her as she gets older. The product smells good, and I like the fact it is mess free to serve. Would recommend.

My little doggy loves this new food. Her coat is getting shinny and her breath is getting better. I felt she has more energy throughout the day and enjoy her walk much better. I would definitely recommend

Good

by Vrq123 -

MY DOG LOVES IT. SHE ALWAYS EMPTY THE BOWL WITHOUT ANY SORT OF COMPLAIN. HER HAIR IS SHINNY AND SHE S IN A GREAT SHAPE. THE SIZE OF THE KIBBLE IS A LITTLE BIG FOR HER, BUT IT MAKES MY DOG ACTUALLY CHEW THE FOOD RATHER THAN JUST SWALLOWING IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Surprising!

by Mihaela99 -

I believe I have the fussiest senior dog on the planet. As years go by, Yuki's constant refuse to eat kibbles that suit her little senior stomach got me worried. So, needless to say, I was very surprised to see her actually eat Purina Beta with such pleasure. First of all, I am in love with the packaging - I love it. Perfect design, recyclable and amazing size as well. The food is not very smelly for myself, but makes my dog bark in expectation, so I guess this is always good news. The ingredients are nice, with chicken first on the list and I love the fact that it contains added prebiotics for digestive care.

Yummy for an older dogs tummy

by DeeGee -

Even before the parcel was open my dog was sniffing enthusiastically at the box. She immediately took to the food which I introduced carefully to avoid any upset tum. No problems whatsoever. I noticed the kibble was shaped (presumably for tooth care) and was a bit thinner than my usual kibble (which some dogs might find easier to consume as a consequence). The food had a higher protein content (26%) than some foods and a reasonable level of fat (10%). The primary listed ingredient was chicken followed by wheat, corn and wheat middling (plus other ingredients). If your dog is grain sensitive you should look elsewhere but I think most would accept this food without problem. My 8 year old Lady (a JRT) had no issues with the food and seemed enthusiastic. I also appreciated the recyclable thick paper packaging the food came in.

Gave back that boost of energy

by ReviewedbyHanna -

We have 2 toy poodles, a 10 year old and a 14 year old. They have had the same dried dog for many years but recently we noticed that they weren’t eating much of their food. Since changing over to this brand of dried dog food, it appears to have gone down very well with our dogs. Therefore, I would recommend this senior dried dog food to anyones dog that has become lethargic, as it worked out for the best with our toy poodles.

Ooo natural!!

by Louisemchugh92 -

My puv buster is 11 years old he absolutely loves this food it is moist he also struggles to eat the big kibble so this small kibble is ideal the smell from the bag is also not too bad he is quite fussy and always finishes it off his coat had also gone from a dull to a shiny smooth .

Tasty and Inexpensive

by Assun -

My 9 year old rescue is very fussy about his food so I was pleased to see how quickly he wolfed this down. I feel it will keep him healthy in his senior years and is a great price for my pocket

Great food - Happy dog

by Tilona1000 -

Gizmo couldn't wait to get into his bag of Kibble! He may be an oldie now but he certainly hasn't lost his appetite and didn't even attempt to stick his nose up at it! He went straight into his bowl and gobbled it all up. He even woke my husband up when it was time to be fed as he must have liked it so much! He also seems to have a little more energy and I hope it may help with his age related stiffness a little bit but it's too early to tell yet So it's 100% a paws up from Gizmo! As his mummy I find the product very non invasive as it doesn't have a strong odour and can easily be kept in a 'high traffic' area. I like the different sizes of Kibble as it slows his eating down which is helpful for his aging gut and digestion. Overall it lives up to the Purina brand and doggy owners won't be disappointed when feeding this to their fur babys. Another thumbs up from me

Luke my 10year old Saluki is looking good, shiny coat, full of energy . I have been feeding him Beta for the past 3years. Vetshop offers one of the best prices for this product and delivery is always prompt.

Our previous German shepherd did well on Beta Senior so we feed the same to our two twelve year old terriers. They are fit and healthy too. Very good value - although it doesn’t help with terrier naughtiness!

Senior food

by Debbie -

Always used purina for Dex. I have just changed him over to the senior option, previously had him on adult. He seems to enjoy it just as much but this is a dog who will eat tubs of butter given half the chance 🙄

Bought for my 14 year old Dobby cross and she enjoys it. It provides the extra nutrients she needs and doesn't upset her.
