About Seresto
Give your dog long-lasting protection against fleas and ticks with a Seresto Flea and Tick Control collar for large dogs. Unlike other flea and tick protection, Seresto kills fleas and repels and kills ticks for 7-8 continuous months, no biting required1. As a result of this, Seresto is clinically proven to reduce the risk of canine vector borne diseases babesiosis and ehrlichiosis2. It's the longest lasting protection available in a single application, so there's no need to remember monthly treatments.
Using an advanced polymer matrix, the active ingredients are stored within the collar itself. Utilising the natural oils in your dog's skin, Seresto steadily releases the active ingredients from head to tail, keeping them protected for 7-8 months. There is no mess, no grease and no smell, plus it features a specially designed safety release mechanism to give you peace of mind.
Seresto’s new, recyclable moulded fibre pack produces 70% less CO2* during manufacturing. The inner protective pouch remains unchanged, ensuring the same quality product and protection for your pet. How to Use Seresto Flea and Tick Control collar for Dogs
INSTRUCTIONS
Cutaneous use. One collar per animal to be fastened around the neck.
Remove collar from protective bag directly before use. Unroll collar and make sure that there are no remnants from the plastic connectors inside the collar. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without tightening it too tight (as a guide, it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the neck). Pull excess collar through the loop and cut off any excess length extending beyond 2 cm.
The collar should be worn continuously and removed at the end of the 7-8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit, if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing.

Bought as we walk our cocker spaniel in woods/long grass and he kept picking up ticks and his Advance flea treatment doesn't cover ticks. Easy to cut down, and he doesn't notice it at all. Took about a week to work completely, but he has only had one 'visitor' thus far!

My Standard Poodles are walked regularly across the South Downs. Coming back from a walk four years ago they both had ticks and a friend recommended these, which then required a prescription from the vet. I have used them every year since then, from March to October and they have been clear. An easy solution, easier now no prescription is needed.

Used for first time last year after finding ticks on dog after having applied spot-on types at back. Once the collar was on we didn't find another "visitor" all season. Stands to reason to go straight for the one that works.

I've used these collars for quite a few years on three Spaniels, in an area of many Sheep & Roe Deer, no more ticks & fleas. Very pleased that they can now be bought on the open market, rather than paying over inflated vet prices. My vet was charging over £60 per collar, if you asked for a prescription to buy online, they would charge about £16 for a A4 printout.

SERESTO FAIL!

I bought Seresto flea collars for my two dogs believing that it's the best product of its kind. My dogs are exercised daily where they mix with many other dogs. Within two days of putting on these collars my dogs caught fleas, something that never happened with the spot treatment I previously used. I left it for a week - grooming the dogs daily as usual - but after eight days they still have one or two fleas (they were alive but not jumping). I have now removed the Seresto collars and returned to using Frontline Plus spot treatment.
