My older rescue cat has white ears and prior to him living with me, he had lived outdoors as a stray. He had quite badly sun damaged ears which have since recovered, but now he wears this sun block every time he goes outside. I find it easier to apply by putting it on to my fingers first, then applying it as he only has small ears. It gives me piece of mind and his ears look as good as they can. My cat does not try to lick it off.
