Why Worry About Fleas?
Aside from causing irritation, fleas can lead to Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) and even anaemia in serious cases. Infected fleas can also transmit tapeworm if swallowed during grooming.Fleas bite humans too. Home infestations can take months to clear because only 5% of fleas live on your pet. The other 95% are in your home environment as eggs, larvae and pupae.
One application of Advantage remains effective for up to 4 weeks in pets and up to one week in rabbits.

FAQs
How often should I use Advantage?
It is recommended that you apply Advantage to your cat or dog once a month , or to your rabbit once a week all year round to achieve protection from fleas.
Can I use Advantage to treat louse infestations?
Yes, Advantage for dogs can be used to treat biting lice in addition to fleas. You should book a check-up with your vet 30 days after treatment, as some pets may need a second treatment to clear up the louse infestation fully.
How long do I need to wait after bathing my pet before I apply Advantage flea treatment?
If you’ve recently bathed your pet, it’s recommended you wait at least two days before treating them with Advantage flea drops.
Can I allow my pet to swim when using Advantage?
Yes. The active ingredient in Advantage sits in the waterproof layer of your pet’s skin and the product remains effective if your pet becomes wet on occasion (for example after exposure to heavy rain or swimming). However, re-treatment may be necessary on some occasions, for example if your dog is a frequent swimmer; in these cases do not treat more frequently than once weekly.
Can Advantage be used to treat Flea Allergy Dermatitis?
Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) is an allergic reaction some pets suffer with when they come into contact with flea saliva as a result of flea bites. It causes cats and dogs to scratch and bite their skin to relieve the extreme irritation. This can lead to hair loss, skin ‘hot spots’ or nasty infections.
Advantage spot-on flea treatment can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis, where this has previously been diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon. The active ingredient in Advantage is able to kill fleas through contact, meaning they don’t have to bite your pet in order to be killed.1 This means pets are less exposed to the saliva they’re allergic to, helping to reduce FAD outbreaks.
My cat is strictly an indoor cat. Do I still need to use Advantage?
Parasites can get into your home without being invited, which means indoor cats aren’t immune from catching fleas.
Fleas can enter your home through many means, including on your clothing, on other pets and on rodents which may have also broken into your home. These fleas can then easily be passed to indoor cats causing an infestation in your home.
*This information is regarding mode of action and is not intended to imply fleas can be completely stopped from biting.

Excellent results!
by Susan Turner -
Have been using Frontline Plus on my cats and was losing the battle against the fleas. After reading similar things from other cat owners, I decided to try Advantage. So glad I did, it seemed to work immediately and haven't seen either of my cats scratch since. I just hope the fleas don't become immune to this too!

Best Effective Flea Treatment, It Works & Keeps on Working over 4 weeks👍
by Rick -
've been using this for 10+ years, since when you had to have it prescribed/through your vets. Glad when it was 'downgraded' so you no longer needed to see your vet & pay higher prices for it, especially if like me.. you have 'Acquired' a few cats.. like 6, + the stray/feral's i care for. Always found much more much more Effective & continuously longer lasting than the other leading brand frontline. Fleas were back in 3 to 4 days with that. With Advantage.. it starts killing them almost immediately & over 24 hours, keeps working and the cats Flea free for 3 to 5 weeks. Results speak for themselves.. Never had or hardly seen a flea or the tell tale signs.. for over 10 years.. Works! Tip: if your cat does not like staying still for a few minutes while you part their fur. Get some cordless pet hair trimmers & crop a little small section/spot of fur at base of skull/neck area and apply .
Just the best. My go to treatment

Advantage flea spot on
by Catherine -
Advantage is the only spot on that works on my cats, that doesn't require a trip to the vets. Great value, cheapest I have been able to find this brand and bottomless bowl is a useful tool. The only annoying thing is that it can last 3-4 weeks on cats but only 1 week on rabbits.
Great product

Have used this product for my cats during the last 9 years, both now 17yrs old and never had a problem since.
Great product
by Deborah -
I bought these because I needed decent but reasonably priced flea treatment for my 7 8 week old kittens.. The delivery was abit slower than i anticipated and the boxes were a bit battered but not so badly that the vials were damaged. I put this on the kittens as directed and within a few minutes tgey were all scratching, (possibly due to the effect that it had on any fleas they had) but other than that they all just acted normally. It has now been over 36 hours since they were treated with it and they are all still happy and healthy. I have heard some horror stories about cats being burned by spot on treatments but i have never found this to be the case with any of my cats or kittens

Advantage is my go to flea treatment for my 9 cats, it's effective and easy to apply with a proper nozzle, it doesn't just pour out like some other flea treatments which just have the peel back foil.
