Yakers Natural Dog Chews Made with Himalayan Yak Milk
YAKERS find their origin in the hills of the Himalayas. Originally made for human consumption, they are still widely eaten
by the Himalayan people and their dogs.
They are made from a mix of skimmed Yak and Cow milk. A very small amount of limejuice and salt is added to coagulate (harden) the milk, which is then compressed into blocks and smoke dried for 28 days to give the chews their unique flavor.
Depending on the size of your dog – as well as how determined he or she is – YAKERS can be an extremely long-lasting treat.
The hard texture means dogs need to soften and work at the treat before they’re rewarded with small pieces to chew off. So you get to keep them happily entertained for a lot, lot longer.
You can also put the small end pieces in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds until they puff up. Allow chew to cool and then give back to your dog to finish the treat.

FEEDING GUIDE
Please supervise your pet when feeding YAKERS and always ensure fresh drinking water is available. Once your dog has enjoyed the YAKERS, take the remaining small end piece and place it in a microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds until it puffs up. Allow chew to cool, and then give it back to your dog to finish the treat! YAKERS are suitable for dogs over 4 months of age.

My 2 year old Cocker Spaniel absolutely loves these Yakers, so a nice treat for her every now and then!
They are a bit expensive for a treat, but it does keep her happy playing with it and chewing away!
Love the Microwave trick for when it gets a bit too small.

My 18mth rotti loves her Yak Chew’s not many chews last more than a few minutes but these last her days!! I love that once you get to a small piece you can pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and it turns into a quaver like treat (2 treats in one haha) and all natural no nasty ingredients.

All my dogs really like this product and it keeps them occupied for quite a while. I also like the fact that it appears to be relatively free of nasties and doesn't require another animal to be killed in the process of developing the treat. They ARE quite expensive which is why the discount offered here is great. When you order a lot of one size (eg 10) at a time, the size of the treat varies considerably as well as the shape of the treat.

These are really good treats for my Lab if not a little bit on the expensive side (generally, not specifically from petshop.co.uk).
They do seem to last about an hour or two with a determined chewer but i tend to give her it for half an hour or so before removing (with lots of pats and "good girl"'s) so she can nibble over a few nights.
Best of all and, unlike some other treats, there are no dodgy stomachs, it does not smell and would appear to be good for her.
If you can stretch to these - i'd say they are worth it.
