PetShopBowl in Coventry Telegraph - Holbrooks pupils being challenged to turn a tenner into a profit
11th March 2013
YOUNG Alan Sugars in Coventry have been asked to think up ways to turn a tenner into a profit.
Year eight pupils at President Kennedy School, in Rookery Lane, Holbrooks, are set to take part in the Tenner Challenge.
Run by Young Enterprise, participants in the scheme are loaned £10 for a month – and are challenged to come up with ways ot use it to make as much money as possible.
They can work alone or in a group when the challenge starts in May.
Ideas already being suggested by pupils at the school included running a model car club and a healthy tuck shop.
Profits made in the challenge can be given to charity or used to set up a social enterprise.
At the end of the month the £10 must be repaid, plus a £1 donation.
