PetShopBowl’s Summary

A complete diet to help support the maintenance of all healthy working dogs, but unfortunately does not contain the best recipe as it includes unspecified sources of meat and animal derivatives as the main meat ingredient, preservatives and colourants. Although, the diet is still popular with our customers because it is very cheap and easy to feed to your pet.

Key Points

Suitable for: Healthy adult working dogs of all breeds as a complete and balanced diet.

Main Ingredient: The main ingredient is cereals - meat is much better as the top ingredient.

Main Meat Source: Meat and animal derivatives (including 4% beef in red kibble).

Protein Amount: This diet is 22% protein; enough for adult working dogs as long as it can be digested well.

Product Aim: To maintain general health and support higher energy requirements.

Allergy Benefits: Unknown; does contain some ingredients which commonly cause allergies.

Is it a natural product? No, contains preservatives, but no artificial colours or flavours.

Does it include any additives? Yes, preservatives and colourants etc.

Wind, bad breath, fur & teeth benefits? A healthy coat and skin is aided by omega 3 and 6. Yucca and fibre in the diet help limit wind. Dry food helps ‘clean' the teeth and avoid bad breath.

Can I only feed this one product? Yes, it is complete so there is no need for any other foods - just give fresh clean water in a bowl too.

PetShopBowl’s Full View

Wagg Worker Complete Beef & Veg Dry Dog Food is a complete diet for healthy adult working dogs of all breeds, which contains 22% protein. It is made to support a healthly digestive system by added fibre and mannan oligosaccharides (a prebiotic). Also supports your pet's immune system by added antioxidant vitamins A, E & C and citrus extracts. The main ingredient is cereals - not very digestible for dogs - diets with a meat main ingredient are much healthier. The next biggest ingredient is 'meat and animal derivatives' which means various meats and animal body parts - not the best meat source. The diet contains no artificial colourants or flavours, but does include preservatives. Overall, the diet is complete so has everything your pet needs, but some ingredients may not be digestible enough and the diet does not have a recipe as good as other brands.

How does it keep my dog fit and healthy?

Maintenance - The diet is complete so it contains all the nutrients your dog needs for their health.
Skin and Coat - Includes balanced omega 3 and 6 levels and zinc for a healthy coat and skin.
Digestion - Contains 3% fibre and yucca to help improve digestive health.
Immunity - Vitamins A, E & C and citrus extracts in the food help to develop a healthy immune system.

And, how do I feed it to my dog?

You can just give the food straight to your pet as it is! However, always follow the feeding guideline to know how much to feed.

So, Is it a good food to buy?

This is a complete food to support your dog's health. The packaging is open about the ingredients, although they are not the as good as those in other dog foods. The feeding method is very easy and the product very cheap!

Would it be agreeable with my dog?

Does your dog have bad breath or teeth?

The food is made into small biscuits which helps keep the teeth clean and remove tartar when the dog bites and chews it!

Does your dog have a dull or rough coat?

The diet contains omega 6 and 3 which aid skin and coat nourishment.

This information is provided as a guide only. Please refer to the product packaging for full details. The feeding quantities are based on the average healthy dog. Individual feeding needs depend on many factors, including weight, age, size, activity level and environment. So, feeding amounts needed may vary and should be adjusted as required to maintain a lean, healthy body and weight.

If you wanted to feed a mixed diets, perhaps wet and dry food, then be sure to alter the feeding quantities accordingly to avoid over-feeding your dog.

Dogs and cats are natural predators so wouldn’t be eating cold food in nature; to improve how tasty the food is for your pet try providing it at room temperature.

I buy a bag or 2 of this every month for my rottweiler. He absolutely loves it & with that price you cannot complain. Amazing!

As stated

Quick delivery solid packaging and the Dogs enjoy it. Full ingredients listed on package as well. Parcel was dropped at a neighbours with no problems.

dogs love it

My dogs love it ,on one occasion I had forgotten to order a replacement bag, and I went to the local Asda and bought a small Bakers until the delivery of Wagg arrived . My two dogs were not impressed .

Great service

Have used this food for years, but great i can now get several bags delivered to my door on regular basis. Saves my back carrying from supermarket to trolley to car to house! Well wrapped and protected from bursting during transit.

The dog loves this stuff

We've been feeding Wagg Worker to our household pet (staffie cross) for the last three years and she loves the food. She is fit, healthy, energetic and well behaved. Some people say that "working" feeds should only be given to "working" dogs, but in our experience, so long as the dog is exercised sufficiently, which ours is, this food is absolutely fine. She always eats every morsel with eager enthusiasm.

good for a dog with a funny tummy and walks 6k+ a day

My dog normally has lose stools as hes a staff with a funny tummy but this is good and hes now firm

Good value for money and always an empty dish

Good value for money and always an empty dish...... Having said that, my lab doesn't have the most discerning pallette

Wagg Complete worker Beef and Vegetable Dry Food.

Wagg products are excellent value. - The Beef and Vegetables Dry Food works well for my dog - just add a little water. He always empties his bowl.

Would highly recommend. Good value for money

Decent product at decent price, I have 6 dogs and this lasts me a week, they are doing very well on the food & have been on it for 2 years. Would highly recommend. Good value for money.

2happy healthy WAGG fed dogs

Brilliant seevice yet again,2nd time now ive ordered from this company and delivery quicker than expected,i have 2staffies who love there Wagg food so having it delivered straight to your door at this size off bag is ideal, will definatly be ordering more in future and would highly recomend also,gd value for money and no lugging big bags around anymore either,??????

Excellent value for money lasts my dog all month so it's a bargain, I'm very happy with the service too free fast delivery.

woof woof

got this when it was on special offer and a better deal with bottomless bowl subscription- great product dog loves it, contains everything he needs would recommend if your on a budget but still want to give your dog all the nutrients

no more smelly breath thanks to wagg

If you feed your dog scraps from you dinner plate then your dogs not going to like it . .since my white siberian husky has been on wagg her poo is easier to pick up and my dogs breath smells better and her coat has never been better

Waste of Money - No nutritional Value

Main ingrediant is low quality grains, very little meat hence the price. Also no info of fat or oil content on packaging.

Used this food as came with our puppy, changed to Wainwrights, she concentrates better, has a better coat and no more unpset tummy.

Would never recommend Waggs to anybody!

Have two labs - one loopy and one laid back. This suits the calm one. Keeps his weight right, shiny coat, solid poo, not clamouring for more. It did not suit my loopy girl though - despite being a worker food, weight fell off her and upping volume just made poo loose.

Great food,the best

My dog has had this food since he was a puppy (the puppy version) .we tried it at advice of a friend after having tried really expensive dog foods as he had a sensitive stomach.
Well he never had problems again, its been more than 2 years now and apart from his yearly check up,my dog never had any health problems.
this food doesn't have any preservatives or colorants and its very cheap .

Perfect for working dogs of all breeds!

I use Wagg worker dog food for my Bulldogs and they never leave a biscuit. It makes their coat shiny and makes them look healthy compared to dog food that is a lot more expensive that seems to strip my dogs down and make their coat really dry and they tend to malt a lot more. Definitely recommended for working dogs of all breeds.

wagg dog food

my dogs liked this but i think they liked the chicken and vegetable one better so just mixed them both into the feed bin plus there stoo;s were nice and firm will buy this item again

My old dogs love this

Both my dogs love this and I either throw in a bit of tinned meat or half a Webbox chub roll and mix it in, as I like to give my dogs variety, instead of the same meal every time. Easy to make up, either feed it dry as it is, or soak it in hot water to soften it up, and feed it as it is or mix in a bit of meat etc... Both of my dogs are old mean now, so getting on in dog years, yet their coats are glossy and they still have lots of energy, while being fed on this. Highly recommend.

Good stuff !

The cheapest, reputable, complete dog food that I've found on the market place; my dogs seem to love it !

Value for money

Five stars is what this product is simple. The amount that you get for the price is fantastic and the best of it all is our dog loves it. Would also like to say that being delivered to your door when you have no car is brill thanks Wagg foods and petshop.co.uk.

Ideal for working dog breeds..

10 yr old Springer/Setter cross keeps active on Wagg. Fed twice a day and as regular as clockwork with no loose motions.
Gradually introducing Wagg to 10 month old Springer puppy mixed with his Beta puppy food. All OK so far.

Was buying this for my elderly Collie who enjoyed it. The delivery to the door made life easier and the price was excellent.
