PetShopBowl’s Summary
A complete diet to help support the maintenance and growth of all healthy puppies, but unfortunately does not contain the best recipe as it includes unnamed sources of meat and animal derivatives as the main meat ingredient, preservatives and colourants. Although, the diet is still popular with our customers because it is very cheap and easy to feed to your puppy.

Main Ingredient: The main ingredient is cereals - meat is much better as the top ingredient.
Main Meat Source: Meat and animal derivatives (15% chicken in the chicken kibble).
Protein Amount: This diet is 28% protein; enough for puppies as long as it can be digested well.
Product Aim: To maintain general health and support growth into adulthood.
Allergy Benefits: Unknown; does contain some ingredients which commonly cause allergies.
Is it a natural product? No, contains preservatives, but no artificial colours or flavours.
Does it include any additives? Yes, preservatives and colourants etc.
Wind, bad breath, fur & teeth benefits? A healthy coat and skin is aided by omega 3 and 6. Yucca and fibre in the diet help limit wind. Dry food helps ‘clean' the teeth and avoid bad breath.

PetShopBowl’s Full View
Wagg Complete Dry Puppy Food is a complete diet for healthy puppies of all breeds, which contains 28% protein. It is made to support a healthly digestive system by added fibre and mannan oligosaccharides (a prebiotic). Also supports your puppy's immune system by added antioxidant vitamins A, E & C and citrus extracts. The main ingredient is cereals - not very digestible for dogs - diets with a meat main ingredient are much healthier. The next biggest ingredient is 'meat and animal derivatives' which means various meats and animal body parts - not the best meat source. The diet contains no artificial colourants or flavours, but does include preservatives. Overall, the diet is complete so has everything your pet needs, but some ingredients may not be digestible enough and the diet does not have a recipe as good as other brands.
How does it keep my dog fit and healthy?
Maintenance and Growth - The diet is complete so it contains all the nutrients your puppy needs for their health and growth.
Skin and Coat - Includes omega 3 and 6 and zinc for a healthy coat and skin.
Digestion - Contains 3% fibre and yucca to help improve digestive health.
Immunity - Vitamins A, E & C and citrus extracts in the food help to develop a healthy immune system.
And, how do I feed it to my dog?
You can just give the food straight to your puppy as it is! However, always follow the feeding guideline to know how much to feed.
So, Is it a good food to buy?
This is a complete food to support your puppy's health and growth. The packaging is open about the ingredients, although they are not the as good as those in other puppy foods. The feeding method is very easy and the product very cheap!
Would it be agreeable with my dog?
Does your dog have bad breath or teeth?
The food is made into small biscuits which helps keep the teeth clean and remove tartar when the dog bites and chews it!
Does your dog have a dull or rough coat?
The diet contains omega 6 and 3 which aid skin and coat nourishment.

Advice: Who likes cereal without milk? Always provide plenty of clean fresh water for your dog too!
This information is provided as a guide only. Please refer to the product packaging for full details. The feeding quantities are based on the average healthy dog. Individual feeding needs depend on many factors, including weight, age, size, activity level and environment. So, feeding amounts needed may vary and should be adjusted as required to maintain a lean, healthy body and weight.
If you wanted to feed a mixed diets, perhaps wet and dry food, then be sure to alter the feeding quantities accordingly to avoid over-feeding your dog.
Dogs and cats are natural predators so wouldn’t be eating cold food in nature; to improve how tasty the food is for your pet try providing it at room temperature.

Good quality for its awesome price
by Zoe Gray
We bought this for our almost 3 months puppy. She didn't love it as much as she loved the bakers kibble we used to give it before buying this one, but still she ate it.
This is by far the cheapest puppy food I've found, and it seems to be very good, with everything a puppy needs. Ours has 9 more siblings from the same litter (with different owners) and she is the healthiest and biggest of them all :D
We feed her 3 times a day, and she's just perfect: not too fat, not too skinny, all with muscles... Even the vet says she's very healthy.
Now just one thing: when they say this food has "yucca extract to help reduce the unpleasant odours from flatulence"... well... Her flatulence still stinks. The difference is that now it stinks with a little bit of gunpowder smell, which can be easier to support, but still, definitely not pleasant to our noses!
I'll definitely buy it again.

Puppy Food with good value
by Aubrey Lloyd
Could not get large bags of puppy food from the supermarket, so this was the best delivery option. Adult food is cheaper to buy in the high street, so in a year I will probably go there.
Brilliant food for my puppy!
by Ava Cox
I was feeding my GSD pup a well know brand but he was not putting on weight. Even the vet commented on how thin he was. So,following other reviews on Wagg Complete Puppy Dry mix I decided to give it a try. It was a very wise decision! My puppy is thriving on it. He has put on weight and the scrawny look has gone from him. He is almost as big as my labrador already and he is only 21 weeks old!!! I am so impressed with it I have reordered another bag and also the adult version for my labrador. :-)
Great product, although can be a touch bland.
by Madelyn Hunt
I bought this for my collie puppy. It's very cheap and plentiful so no complains there. The only thing that makes it less than 5 stars is that it can be repetitive for the dog but it does what it is intended to. Would be good if it came in more flavours, to give puppy some variety etc.
Not great results
by Brody Bailey
I bought this food in preparation for my German Shepherd puppy arriving home. The breeder gave me a small bag of his food from a pet store chain to transition him onto his new food. However, when it came time to switch (gradually over several days) onto this food his stomach got worse & worse until he almost stopped eating altogether. Lots of use of the garden hose & an unhappy pup ensued!
I then set about properly getting to grips with various foods available & what to look for. I discovered (What I suppose I should already have known) that this food fell well short of most I looked at. ie; the Meat content is very low & this product is comprised mainly of cereals or fillers. eg; Wagg nutritional value;
Wheat, Meat Meal, Wheatfeed, Chicken Meat Meal (min 10% in chicken kibble), Maize Gluten, Poultry Fat, Maize, Digest, Peas (min 4% in pea kibble), Linseed, Lucerne, Beet Pulp, Minerals, Yeast (0.08%), Citrus Extract (0.03%), Yucca Extract (0.01%).
Versus what I currently use;
Freshly prepared chicken (22%) Rice, Poulty Meat (13%), Maize, Freshly prepared Poulty Liver (7%), Freshly prepared salmon & trout (6%), rice protein, Oats, Poultry Fat (2.5%), Beet pulp, Dried Egg (2%), Minerals, linseed, Brewers Yeast, Vitamins, Poultry Gravy (0.7%), Pork Gravy (0.7%) , Mannanoligosaccharides, Yucca Schidera Extract, Rosemary, Beta Carotene, Fructooligosaccharides, L-Camintine, Mixed Tacopherals
So you can see the larger amount of ingredients & especially the meat content. In the end I switched to the above Food (K9 Optimum) & the little guy loves it. Immediately settled his tummy. It is obviously more expensive but now that I have learned what to look for & what I am putting in my pooches bowl I do not mind paying extra.
Good deal

by Kaitlyn Cole
Had my pup on bakers, which is a good dog food. But I found it didn't agree with his tummy like it did my other dogs. Thought I would give Wagg puppy a try a my working dog is on the worker Wagg. My pup loves it, and his tummy has settled nicely. Good firm poo's! And a lot cheaper then the Bakers pup.
pups love it !
by Emily Chapman
Buy this two bags at a time, good value and very quick delivery.
Given to two springer pups usually mixed with table scraps, they seem to like it very much and look like they are thriving on it !.
You can spend silly money on puppy food for a fancy brand or feed them a good product at a sensible price !.
Happy poppy
