PURINA VETERINARY DIETS NF is a tasty complete veterinary diet for cats with chronic kidney disease. PVD NF contains restricted amounts of phosphorus as this mineral can build up in kidney patients and has been shown to contribute to progression of the disease. It also contains limited amounts of high quality protein to help reduce the build-up of toxins which make patients feel unwell, while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids also help to maximise the  natural anti-inflammatory processes and reduce in blood pressure inside the kidney. Note that PVD NF is not suitable for cats that require a high protein or phosphorus intake such as pregnant queens and growing kittens.

  • Dietary phosphate restriction to help support kidney function, helping to slow down the progression of chronic kidney disease and reducing the risk of secondary complications such as hypertension
  • Restricted but high quality proteins to help reduce the build-up of toxins in the body and therefore improve quality of life
  • High palatability for optimum enjoyment by your cat which helps in the long-term use of this highly effective diet
  • With ST/OX for urinary security: formulated to help minimise the risk of FLUTD (urinary disease)

Format of food - paste not chunks

The food is like a paste, different from Royal Canin, but cat is eating it. I mix with normal cat food as renal-only, he doesn't like.
