FRONTLINE SPOT ON Flea Drops for Medium Breed Dogs and Puppies (10-20kg)
Spot-on solution for Dogs which treats and prevents flea infestations and ticks. Also used for treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis, where authorised by a veterinary surgeon. The product controls infestations of Trichodectes canis biting lice as well.
1 pipette of 1.34 ml per dog weighing over 10kg and up to 20kg bodyweight.
Animals should be weighed before treatment.
Hold pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Break back the snap-off top from the spot-on pipette along the scored line. Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently at one or two spots to empty its contents onto the skin.
Do not treat again within 4 weeks.
Use during pregnancy or lactation
The product can be used during pregnancy and lactation as studies have not revealed any bad effects.
The product should not be used on dogs less than 8 weeks old or weighing less than 20kg.
Do not use on sick animals.
Do not use on rabbits or cats, as adverse reactions and even death could occur.
This product is only developed for dogs.
Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
When treating for infestations of lice, all other dogs that yours comes into contact with should be treated at the same time.
The product does not prevent ticks from attaching to you pet, but ticks will be killed in the first 24-48 hours after attachment, therefore reducing the risk of passing on diseases. Once dead, ticks will usually drop off the animal, but any remaining ticks can be easily removed by a gentle pull.
Bathing or shampooing the dog up to one hour before treatment does not affect how the product works.
When used for the treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis, monthly applications to the allergic patient and to other dogs in the household are recommended.
Animals or humans with known sensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should avoid contact with the product.
This product can cause mucous membrane and eye irritation. Therefore, contact of the product with mouth and eyes of dogs and humans should be avoided.
If product enters the eyes accidently then the eye should be rinsed carefully with water.
Avoid contents coming into contact with the fingers. If this occurs, wash hands with soap and water.
Wash hands after use.
Treated animals should not be handled until the application site is dry.
You should be bath the dog in water within 2 days after application or more frequently than once a week.
Dogs should not be allowed to swim in water for 2 days after application.
There may be an attachment of single ticks. For this reason transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely excluded if conditions are unfavourable.
Fleas often infest the animal's basket, bedding and regular resting areas such as carpets and soft furnishings which should be treated too and vacuumed regualrly.
If licking occurs, a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed due mainly to the nature of the carrier. Among the extremely rare adverse reactions, skin discoloration, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema and general pruritus or alopecia have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological signs (hyperaesthesia, depression, nervous signs), vomiting and respiratory side effects have been seen.
Store in the original packaging.
Store in a dry place.
Do not store above 300C.
Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.
Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with the product or empty container.
